This reel is a compilation of work from my first two full time jobs, first at YTV, and then at Spin Productions, as well as my first couple of years freelancing. I'm very fond of this older work, as it represents my early days of really exploring animation and broadcast design. Some of the work was done at Red Rover, too, in the early 2000s, when Andy and Linzi Knight were running the shop. I learned a great deal from those two kind and talented folks.

The butterfly created for YTV was my first (very simple!) experiment with 3D software. Thanks to Nicolas Kadima for help with that one. (I did not create the logo, just the butterfly! Its wings were created in a 3D program that was so foreign to me at the time.) The stop motion pieces for YTV were also my very first experiments with stop motion -- and two of them won awards at BDA. (I owe huge thanks to Nicolas, again, and Dolores Keating-Mallen for having the faith in me to a) hire me straight out of art school when I had never animated anything before and b) create these little stop motion worlds to be put on the air!)

Other clients whose work is featured here: The Studio Upstairs, Corus, Astral Media, and Cuppa Coffee.
